Artist Bio

Born in 1972 in Berkley, California, Grady Clifford grew up in a truly artistic household. His mother, Laurie Clifford, a painter, and his father, Doug “Cosmo” Clifford, the drummer and one of the founding members of Creedence Clearwater Revival, were both enormous influences on Grady's early artistic development. By the age of 10, he had taken to drawing as a vital form of communication.

Since then, Grady has continued to pursue one form of artistic expression or another as a means of development and exploration. First receiving an associates degree in Fine Arts at the College of Marin, he then went on to the Academy of Art University San Francisco to earn his bachelor's in Graphic Design.

Over the years, Grady has learned to utilize a variety of mediums to produce his art, seeing an opportunity in everything from computers to photography, from acrylics to found objects. In each pursuit, he consciously uses his previous endeavors to propel further exploration in his latest medium of choice. Through these discoveries, Grady has delved into the study of life, humanity and the patterns that lie within each to reveal the duality of randomness and order that surrounds us all.
